Besan Ladoo

Besan Ladoo


  • 1 Cup Laddu besan ( Thick Besan/gram flour)
  • 1 Cup Besan (gram flour)
  • 1 Cup Grinned Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cardamom Powder ( Ilachi )
  • 1/2 Cup Ghee or Unsalted Butter
  • Dry fruits ( Almond , Raisins ( Kismis )

Method :

  • Heat the Ghee in a pan .
  • Put the besan in a pan and mix well . 
  • Turn the stove on the medium heat and start to roast the besan until it becomes light golden brown in color. Stir the mixture continuously with a spatula to prevent burning. 
  • When the color has changed you also can start to smell the sweetness of roasted besan.  it will take about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Mix the Cardamom powder. 
  • Remove the pan from the heat and the let it be for cooling .
  • when its cools down  and u can touch it from hand ,mix the sugar and dry roasted almond and all the dry fruits u want.
  • To make the ladoos take about 2 tablespoons besan mixture into your palm. Gently press the mixture between palms to form a smooth and round ball.  if needed seems like besan is dry and  U can not make the balls can add warm ghee .
  •  make any size of ladoos as u prefer.
  • U can decorate it with almond and pistachios .
  • Serve the Ladoos.


  • Cooking on high heat will not allow the mixture to fully cook.
  • If you don't have ladoo besan you can use normal besan as well
  • Mixing sugar in a room temperature will make ladoos soft, it will not become hard.
