Wheat Tortilla

Wheat Tortilla 


  • 2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1 tea spoon salt 
  • 2 table spoon oil
  • 1 tea spoon baking powder
  • Luke warm water.


  • In a large bowl mix wheat flour and all purpose flour together properly.
  • Add yogurt , salt , oil and baking powder gently.
  • Add the water to knead it properly.
  • Knead it for few minutes to make it soft, dough should not stick on your finger.
  • Make a small balls.
  • Preheat a large plain pan (Tawa) in a medium flame.
  • Use well floured rolling pin (Belan )  to roll a dough ball into a thin round tortilla.
  • Place tortilla into the pan and cook until bubbly , flip continue until cooks on both the sides.
  • continue rolling and cooking remaining dough. 
  •  [ we need to cook tortilla like chapati on the flat large pan(tawa) but don't keep it on direct flame]
