Sabudaana Vada

Sabudaana Vada


  • 2 cups sabudaana 
  •  1.5 cups boiled mashed potato's 
  • 4 to 5 green chilies chopped
  • 2 table spoon coriander leaves chopped 
  • sendha namk to taste (upwas salt, rock salt)
  • 2 table spoon lemon juice
  • 1 table spoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  • vegetable oil or ghee or peanut oil for deep frying


  • Wash the sabudaana an then soak in a water with  level coming equal  to sabudaana for almost for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Take boiled mashed potato's add drain in a colander sabudaana and then add lemon juice, salt, green chilies and coriander leaves mix it well.
  • Heat the oil in a pan.
  • Make a samll ball of the mixture , flat it with your palm and make a round vada .
  • Now fry vada in medium heat until vada gets golden brown , crisp on the both the sides.
  • Serve hot with green or peanut chuteny .


Press it properly vada should not be too thick otherwise when will u fry the vada , that would be pop out.
