Aloo Tikki Chaat

Aloo Tikki  Chaat 


Ingredients :

For Tikki 


  • 10 medium boiled potatoes
  • 2 table spoon coriander powder
  • 1 tea spoon dry mango powder
  • 2 tea spoon chaat masala
  • 1 tea spoon red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 table spoon gram flour (besan)

For gravy of mater

  • 2 cups white mater boiled (vatane)
  • 2 Tomato's chopped
  • 1 tea spoon turmeric
  • 1 tea spoon dry mango powder (amchur)
  • 1 tea spoon red chili powder
  • 1 tea spoon ajwain 
  •  4 dry red chilies for tadka
  • 1 tea spoon garam masala
  • 2 table spoon coriander powder
  • 1 tea spoon cumin seeds
  • salt as per taste
  • pinch of asafetida (hing)
  • 2 table spoon oil

For garnish 

  • Sweet tamarind chutney (emli ki chuteny)
  • Green chutney
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro chopped (dhania patti)
  • 1 table chaat masala
  • 1 tea spoon red chili powder
  • 4 green chiliis chopped 
  • 1/2 cup sev 
  • 1/2 cup curd , add pinch of salt and pinch of sugar and beat the curd well.

Directions

Preparation

  • Take boiled peeled potatoes in big bowl, mash it, and add coriander powder, dry mango powder, chaat masala , red chilli powder and salt to taste , mix well .
  • Make small balls then flatten to make it patties.
  • Heat tawa and add some oil , sprinkle some gram flour and arrange it on tawa.
  • Roast from both side until tikkis get golden brown and crispy . 
  • Heat oil in a pan add cumin, dry red chili , ajwain let them crack and then add turmeric powder, coriander powder and hing.
  • Add  tomatoes add some salt and cover it for few minutes, when tomatoes are fully cooked add garam masala, red chili powder and amchur powder.
  • Add boiled matar and mix well, add some water , make it to boil when gravy is little thick turn the heat off.

Making

  • Take 2 tikkies in a plate , smash it and then add matar gravy on the top.
  • Pour 2 spoon of curd, sprinkle green chilies , chopped tomatoes, then chaat masala, red chili powder, green chilies.
  •  Pour spoon of tamarind chutney and green chutney.
  • sprinkle  sev and chopped cilantro.
  • Serve Hot and right away. 

Tips

You can sprinkle  onions as well.
