Chaat Tamarind chutney (Sweet)

Chaat Tamarind  Chutney (Sweet)


1 cup tamarind juice
1 table spoon chat masala
1/2 table spoon red chilli powder
dry roast cumin powder
3/4 cup Sugar  (As per taste) or Jaggery


  • You can use ready to use tamarind  paste  witch is easily available in market.
  • If you don't have that soak the tamarind in one cup of  warm water for an hour.
  • After soaking boil add some more water and boil it for 5 to 6 minuter in a medium heat, there should not be any lumps, strain it with chalni or soup strain.
  • Add tamarind paste into sauce pan add little extra water , add jaggery or sugar what ever you want,
  • Let it  melt the sugar or jaggery and then add chaat masla, chili powder and cumin powder.
  • Come into boil and then turn the heat off.
  • It will be little thin while you turn off the gas because after coiling it will become little thick.
