Kadai Paneer

Kadai Paneer 


2 cups Paneer cubed
1/2 cup capsicum sliced or cut into square
2 Tomatoes
2 table spoon ginger paste
2 table spoon dry roast coriander
4 to 5 dry roast red chili
1 tea spoon turmeric
1 tea spoon garam masala
1 table spoon kasuri methi
cilantro chopped for garnish (dhania patti, coriander leaves)
Salt to taste
3 table spoon oil

For Tadka

1 small cinnamon (dal chini)
1 table spoon cumin seeds (jeera)
3 green cardamom (choti elachi)
1 black cardamom
1 bay leaf
2 cloves (laung)


  • Heat pan add dry red chills and coriander seeds , dry roast them and grind it keep aside
  • Make a paste of tomato puree.
  • Heat oil in pan add all the tadka ingredients, let them crack.
  • Add turmeric and then  zinger paste , saute it for a minute, add tomato puree cook it until tomato leaves the oil.
  • Add dry roasted coriander and red chili powder mix it well and cook it for a minute or 2 in low flame.
  • Now add capsicum cubes saute it for few minutes and add salt then cover it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add paneer cubes mix it well gently and then add half cup of water.
  • Add kasuri methi and garam masala powder.
  • cook it for another 4 to 5 minutes or until gravy gets thick.
  • garnish with cilantro Serve Hot.


You can deep fry the paneer as well or shallow fry in tawa .
