Capsicum Rice

Capsicum Rice 


2 cups rice washed and cooked
1 cup capsicum sliced or chopped  (any color you can use)
5 to 6 fresh curry leaves 
2 green chilies  sliced
2 table spoon pea nut roasted (mungfalli dana)
1 tea spoon garam masala
pinch of asaphatito 
1 tea spoon mustard seeds
1 table spoon urad dal
2 table spoon oil
salt to taste

To be powdered 

1 table spoon urad dal
4 to 5 dry red chili
1 tea spoon mustard seeds 
1 taple spoon coriander seeds
1 tea spoon cumin seeds 
1 tea spoon oil


  • Cook rice and keep aside before an hour or more.
  • Heat oil in a pan add all to be powdered ingredients, roast it properly and then make fine powder and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a same pan add mustard seeds, chill's, asaphatito,curry leaves, let them crack and then add pea nuts and urad dal, stir it contentiously. 
  • Then add sliced bell peppers, saute it for few minuets, add salt and then cover it 2 to 3 minutes.
  • After that add powdered masala, mix it properly, and then add garam masala too.
  • Now add rice, Mix the masala equally to the rice , add salt if u need and then reduce the heat in low and then cover it for few minutes.
  • Capsicum rice is ready to serve, Turn the heat off and Serve Hot.
