Red Velvet Cake (Eggless)

Egg-less red Velvet cake


  • 1 cup all purpose flour (Maida)
  • 1 and 1/2 table spoon coco powder
  • 4 table spoon butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tea spoon baking powder
  • 1/2 tea spoon baking soda
  • red food color 1 tea soon
  • 1/2 cup butter milk
  • 1 tea spoon vanilla essence


  • Grease the cake pan  with oil / butter and all purpose flour and keep aside.
  • Pre heat the oven.
  • Add butter and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  • Beat till the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Shift the cake flour,coco powder,baking powder and baking soda.
  • Mix the shifted flour with butter and blend well.
  • Mix the food color and vanilla essence with the butter milk and then add in with the mix and blend well.
  • Transfer the cake mix into the greased pan
  • Bake it for 30-40 minutes or till the tooth pic  inserted in the middle and cleans out completely.


Butter milk should not be very thin and salt less.
