Palak Paneer Dry (Without onion and garlic )

Palak Paneer Dry


1 bunch palak
250 grams paneer (around 2 cups) cubed
1/2 cup tomato chopped
1/2 tea spoon turmeric
1 tea spoon cumin seeds
pinch of asafetida (hing)
1 tea spoon red chili powder
1 table spoon coriander powder
2 table spoon oil
1 tea spoon garam masala
salt to taste
1 tea spoon ginger chopped


  • Chop and wash palak properly.
  • Cut paneer in cube. 
  • Chop ginger minced.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds let it crack and then add chopped ginger, let it get golden brown.
  • Then add asafetida, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder.
  • Then add paneer, let them mix properly and stir or cook until paneer becomes golden brown.
  • It will take around 5 minutes.
  • After that add chopped palak mix them and then add tomato.
  • Add salt too and then cover it for few minutes.
  • Let palak cooked properly and then open it, add garam masala and cook until water gets soaked.
